Well we made
it to Branson with only one glitch. The
stupid woman inside my GPS tried to take us to another area in Arkansas that we
knew was incorrect and I had Cindy in one ear hollering not to go that way and
the woman in the GPS hollering for me to turn.
I finally stopped on the side of the road to decide which one of these
women I was going to keep and Cindy won.
But it was only because she had help from someone named Glock 40. Not sure if that is like Colt 45 that use to
be around, but I fell back in line as I should have and continued on to Branson.
We are in a nice campground that we both like (Ozark Country RV Campground) just outside the city limits of Branson. We are near everything we need to be near and it is easy to get from one location to another. We went to a show last night which in my opinion was a step above a Karaoke bar. They had a band that was trying to do a tribute to the Eagles. I guess it was better that sitting at the campground for Cindy, but for my money, a good camp fire and a cigar would have been better!!
We are scheduled to go to two other shows today (May 17) and I am praying they will be better or quieter that the last one so I can get some rest during the shows.
We leave
tomorrow morning and head to Wichita, Kansas for three days. We plan to see the Cowtown museum and an Air
museum there, eat some good steak and go downtown to see an Indian show that
Mike Tovey (my good friend) told us about.
Also, Cindy has been talking about going to some western store there to
buy a quick draw holster and belt.
Having never been out west before she wants to practice her quick draw
skills before she meets some cowboys. I
have not had the heart to tell her yet that most of the cowboys are unarmed and
ridding in pickup trucks, these days.
But I am sure there will be a few bad guys along the way to get her
irritated. Problem is that most of the
time this results in road rage between her and whoever has irritated her. Just Pray hard!!
