June 11, 2016

Today was moving day.  We left Wyoming (Grand Tetons) and headed to West Yellowstone, MT.  We traveled through Yellow National Park for 71 miles before arriving here at West Yellowstone.  While traveling through the park this morning we saw another Grizzly, and there were buffalo blocking the road in one location and the Park Rangers had to turn on their sirens to get them to move off the road.  We also saw Elk again.  When we saw the Grizzly there were people parked all over the side of the road and blocking traffic.  Now everywhere you go here they tell you not to approach the animals and to stay 25 and 100 yards away from some animals, bears being one of those.  We saw these people get out of their cars and approach the bear and was only about 10 to 15 yards away from it.  They were taking photos of course.  The bear could have charged them and they would not have a chance.  They did not know if the bear had cubs close by or not.  How stupid can you be!!!  But they tell me there is no cure for it!!

It is colder here in West Yellowstone.  Reminds me of Estes Park, CO.  Not sure if it will stay this way or if it is because it is cloudy and threating rain.  The park here is nice but they put us in a small site and we have to park the truck in an overflow lot.  Not to happy about that, but the site we are in is just small.

Ok I wasn't going to post photos of buffalo again but this is all I got!!!
